LEDs The Single Color LEDs that are provided with the kits are one of two sizes, 3MM and 5MM. There are also standard and Super Bright versions. Currently the kits come with 10 of each of the following: 5MM Super Bright Red, 5MM Super Bright Yellow and a 5MM Green Super Bright. All the LEDs have one longer leg that is the Anode or Plus pin. You should put a current limiting resistor in series with the LED, a value of 220 Ohms should be good for use with the Arduino. The RED Super Bright LED is rated at 1.8-2.6V @ 20MA. 
The Yellow Super Bright LED is rated at 2.0-2.3V @ 20MA. 
The Green Super Bright LED is rated at 2.0-2.2V @ 20MA.
