Arduino UNO

The Arduino UNO may be a different version than the one described here but most or all functionality is the same.


The silver connector is the USB connector. For most development we will use a standard USB cable to provide power and also data when programming the UNO. There is also a barrel connector on teh same edge of the board that we will use if we require more power for our projects. The USB connector can only provide 500mA while the voltage regulator on the UNO is rated at 1A and we can also draw more power from the VIN pin on the power header.

Note that the UNO board we provide has a socketed processor to allow extraction for use in another project or replacement if it fails.
